Regional Clean Water Indiana Listening Sessions

The State Soil Conservation Board is hosting 5 Regional Clean Water Indiana Listening Sessions in order to receive additional statewide input on the resource concerns of Indiana that should be addressed with future Clean Water Indiana funds. The Clean Water Indiana funds are administered by the Indiana State Department of Agriculture,Division of Soil Conservation subject to the direction of the State Soil Conservation Board.

To date a comprehensive survey has been conducted by the State Soil Conservation Board and these listening sessions will further serve to bring information in an interactive setting to aid the State Soil Conservation Board in establishing their plan for wisely utilizing Clean Water Indiana funds. Indiana Code has established guidelines that must be followed to disperse and spend Clean Water Indiana Funds. Clean Water Indiana excerpt: IC 14-32-8-5 Purpose of program Sec. 5. The purpose of the program is to provide financial assistance to:
   (1) soil and water conservation districts;
   (2) land occupiers; and
   (3) conservation groups; to implement conservation practices to reduce nonpoint sources of water pollution through education, technical assistance, training, and cost sharing programs. As added by P.L.160-1999, SEC.4. Amended by P.L.175-2006, SEC.18.
