Public Health Focus Workshop, Thursday October 15, 9am to 4pm at the Fishers Train Station, Fishers IN.

IDNR Hoosier Riverwatch and Project WET are partnering with the Upper White River Watershed Alliance to deliver this unique workshop to raise awareness of the relationship between water quality and public health.

 

Registration is $20 and lunch will be provided.

or 317.562.1338. Registration is limited to 30 participants and the workshop is expected to fill quickly.


Participants will be able to:

1. Understand the relationship between water quality and public health, as well as Indiana water quality standards.

2. Communicate effectively the relationship between water quality and public health and associated health risks.

3. Understand the types of waterborne diseases, as well as the source and spread of these diseases.

4. Identify ways to prevent water pollution and exposure to health risks.
