The Urban Connection Webinar

When and Where
Date: Wednesday, April 10, 2013
Time: 12:00pm

Learn about the Steuben County SWCD's successful partnership with the City of Angola/Trine University MS4's Storm Water program. Over the past several years, through various grants and a strong partnership, the Steuben County SWCD has educated county residents about storm water pollution, and installed many urban BMPs throughout Angola and other urban and lake communities. Kayleen and Eric will showcase how they select urban project sites and some of their unique educational programs created to show Steuben County residents how "everyone can help improve and maintain a heathly watershed."

Kayleen Hart, Administrative Coordinator/Treasurer, Steuben County Soil & Water Conservation District

Kayleen has been employed by the Steuben County SWCD for over nine years, beginning her career there as a part-time clerk in 2003, becoming the full-time Resource Conservationist in 2006, and finally, in 2010, stepping into the Administrative Coordinator's position. A Fremont native, she enjoys spending time with her three children, friends, and family, and spends her free time volunteering, attending the kids' extracurricular activities, and flower gardening.

Eric Henion, MS4 Coordinator, City of Angola/Trine University and Floodplain Administrator, City of Angola

Eric has been the Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Coordinator for the City of Angola & Trine University (formerly Tri-State University) since 2007. Eric is also active with the Steuben County Lakes Council (SCLC) Storm Water Quality Committee, the Pigeon Creek Watershed Management Plan Steering Committee, and is the Chair of the City of Angola/Trine University MS4 Stormwater Advisory Group.
